We had breakfast here 3 days in a row. Service was friendly and prompt. Dining room was clean and orderly. We had the 2-egg breakfast with bacon and grits, and the Belgian waffle - all 3 days. Food was consistent and delicious. Waffle was light and fluffy. Bacon was crisp. Grits were creamy. Price point was good. Everything was great! Thank you!

Not good at all. Raw steak. Cold food. Lack of service. It's the only restaurant open right now in the Sonesta Resort. They could make it really great if they wanted to. I guess they think they can rely on the location near the beach and not care about anything else.

This experience took place a few weeks ago: Was really excited to eat at Heywards Restaurant while I was staying at the Sonesta Resort. Unfortunately for us, we had a very sour start to our meal at Heywards. To begin, the dining room was empty and the staff member sat us at the table closest to the kitchen- our view was dirty plates and people coming in and out. We asked the man who greeted us if we could move to another table- he looked irritated and told us to sit wherever we want, that we were just sat there because of seating rotation and we can sit wherever we want. We moved down a few tables and the new server came to great us. When I said I was happy with water, she looked very irritated and slammed my coffee cup that was preset on the table. We asked if we could move outside because it was an awful atmosphere of servers looking unhappy and our server, Marsha I think was her name, without even turning around said sure. Take your waters. We went outside and our new server, , was really great. Friendly and happy and made our experience end positively despite the sour beginning. The food was amazing, won't be coming back because of the service though.
