Hibachi is way overpriced for what you get.  The chicken skewers, well not on a skewer anymore, but it was hard and dried out.  The crab meat had a funny taste and the bathrooms was dirty.  I thought it was kinda funny they had a sign on the napkin dispenser saying to not get more food than you can eat and not waste food but how can you not waste it when it doesn't taste very good.

For the most part, the food is rather mediocre. The salad bar doesn't feature many vegetables and the lettuce seemed to be soaking wet. However, they did offer crawfish, which I hadn't seen at a buffet before. The crawfish were steamed but still quite salty/sandy - interesting to try but I don't know if I'd recommend them. Also, I didn't even try the sushi but I'll go out on a limb and not recommend that either. Fortunately, it wasn't all bad at the Hibachi Grill & Supreme Buffet. The miso soup was good and the hibachi grill offers the opportunity to have things cooked to order. I put together a plate of rice, egg, peppers, onions, snow peas, and shrimp that were then cooked in soy sauce. The chef didn't quite cook my food all the way through but we won't fret about the details. The highlight of the meal was the Chinese doughnut that we tried for dessert. I happened to be standing at the bar when the lady brought out a fresh batch of doughnuts and I grabbed the first one out of the pan. It was like a fresh, hot funnel cake and tasted delicious. In a shocking display of self-control, I managed to resist going back for another one. For an Asian buffet, I'd say Hibachi Grill and Supreme Buffet is pretty standard. A few things that are pretty good and a few things that are pretty awful. Roanoke is full of other good restaurants that I would suggest before going here, but it's one of the better buffets in town.
