A gem of a place and the coffee was very good. Hard to find good brownies as many people mistake what a good brownie should be. This place is where you can find the most delicious brownies. And cheesecake, and a special Ukrianian honey cake. If you know those things called walnuts, have it with your coffee. They're perfect for a relaxed and enjoyable respite from a day of shopping in Chester. The vibe was chilled and admire the art too. Price per person: £1–10 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

It was my first time at this little coffee shop and Wow, what a hidden gem! My flat white was delicious and I even bought some beans to take home! I am a bit of a self proclaimed coffee snob and i can't believe I haven't found this place before. It's a bit tucked away in the corner of Rufus Court, but well worth the 5 minutes I spent looking around trying to find it I'll definitely be back soon! Thank you. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Vlad and the team at High Coffee Bar have brought a really interesting concept to Chester! Interesting coffee roasters, Ukrainian cakes and sweet, European hospitality and some really good vibes. The shop and the coffee has changed a lot since they first opened. The cakes are really good. The coffees are unique from Roasteries in Ukraine and many other places. They are brewed well, it's a very different experience to some other shops in Chester. Another reason I like this shop is that it offer Ukrainian people a place to get together. We see a lot of bad press about migrants. Well this place offers them a safe space and somewhere they can speak in their own language if they want to. Chester is an up and coming coffee city. It is famous for its hospitality, food & drink. Take a waltz around the walls and get some coffee and cakes from high bar. This is British Culture at it's best. Our culture should be more European and I have become a regular here. High Coffee Bar also host public events. You should check them out on Instagram, whilst you're at it.
