Ok so I enjoy and look forward to getting a coffee as I pass thru Crestline a few times a month .... Coffee is fine it is the service attention .. got my order yes but that was it. No friendly banter except between the 2 workers about their personal life. So there I stand there no " how are you ... nice day out ... what brings you up here... would you like to try our (Insert speciality item) Got my coffee walked out with threat ever growing feeling of "service industry uggg" Problem was I left tip on the screen for this all takes place prior to this cold shoulder approach to service. Will I go back .... Yes I'm a glutton for punishment Ps. I own a small food service business my team makes about 60-100$ per 4 hr event for I taught them the ever so painful art of communicating and winning the customer over.

I come up to Crestline almost every other week and whenever I do I have to make a stop here! They have a traditional American coffee shop menu with several dairy alternative and syrup options. They also serve homemade pastries and breakfast sandwiches in the morning. This place does have free wifi (which is great in a place with spotty reception). They're staff is what you would expect at a small coffee shop: friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. 90% of seating is outdoors, a few tables inside, but with the weather here, why wouldn't you want to sit outside! The outside patio is separated in two, one half is pet friendly, the other half is no pets allowed. Parking is limited, so on a busy Sunday morning I had to park a block away, but don't let this discourage you, its well worth the walk. Even on a busy day I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes for my drink and food. The outside patio with wifi is a great place to get some work done or meet with a group of friends. I always order the same drink so I can't comment on the quality of anything other than a latte. They're food is reasonably priced and a great option for light breakfast before a long drive down the mountain. I look forward to coming here many times more and would definitely recommend Higher Grounds Coffee House!
