When we have an opportunity to grab a coffee in Ryde, we like to go to Higher Grounds in Cross Street. There is a lovely relaxed atmosphere and Andrew always makes us feel welcome. He bakes delicious cakes and has a great verity of coffee to try. I love his hot chocolate. Highly recommended.

We were looking for a place to have a coffee after a walk and used Google reviews and decided on Higher Grounds. My wife doesn't really drink coffee so always looks for an alternative such as a smoothie or milkshake. They do both. She plumped for the Strawberry and Blueberry smoothie. They use real fruit which is something she looks for. The smoothie was very refreshing and a lovely flavour. I loved the coffee and we both had a sausage roll. All excellent. The service from the owner was superb and very friendly. I would highly recommend visiting here. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
