If you want to feel like you are just a business transaction and not a customer, come here. They will be kind enough to set you at your table when the restaurant is empty before the music starts and ahead of your reservation, but ask you to leave before your alloted time of 90 minutes for the reservation. If you ask for the proper reservation end time, they are "so sorry". It was explained that it was because the system starts the check in time when you arrive, but no one explains this or tells you until 15 mins after, again "so sorry" "we will see what we can do" " "we are fully booked and have nothing available". Open Table has multiple reservation slots for the exact same time. No one came back, no one looked into seeing what they could do, nothing. It was quite wonderful to have your dining and live music experience ruined before it even starts. The only great thing about this place is the music. Don't waste your time, there are so many other places. Tartan Paint was fantastic !! Look them up!

My husband and I stopped in for a pint and late lunch. Chantelle helped us at the bar and was very informed on the tap options. She described the options, gave my husband a sample of the local brew he was considering, and poured two perfect pints after we made our selections. The food was served hot and was delicious. I chose the wings which were cooked perfectly and tossed in a buffalo sauce. My husband opted for the haggis, tatties & neeps and enjoyed it. Chantelle was attentive and super friendly. She stopped by to answer our questions about local foods and we had a great conversation with her. If we are ever back in Inverness we would not hesitate to stop by Highlander for a pint, a meal, or later in the evening to hear local performers.
