Under the title “Never judge a book by it’s cover”, the Hightstown Diner delivers in a big way. I’ll admit I headed here due to a Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives episode however that “chapter ” of the Hightstown is closed. Open is this new incarnation which does not disappoint. I ordered the Greek Salad and enjoyed it thoroughly. The vegetables were fresh and flavorful. The olives magnificent, the Feta was so fresh I wondered if it was house-made, the dressing sublime. Crisply toasted Pita triangles adorned the plate for a great contrast and beautiful presentation. The price could not have been fairer, the service was friendly and quick. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Greek Salad Vegetarian options: Not a “vegan/vegetarian” menu, however the kitchen stocks a great assortment of fresh vegetables. More options to me than most.
