Great unagi set meals available. The eel is high quality and the set meal lets you enjoy the eel with different layers of flavor. The Hitsumabushi set meal included some dashi to pour on your meal at the end, which was a surprising alteration to the taste of the eel and rice. The small side dishes were enjoyable as well. This is located on B1 of the Ryubo department store, next to other restaurants. Their entrance has a lot n of box sets on display for people that want to order to-go. Waited 30 minutes outside just to get in, then another 20+ minutes sitting at the table being completely ignored. Meanwhile, multiple groups who came in after us were served first. Apparently, the service here operates on some invisible priority system—one that we clearly didn’t qualify for. Traveling with two young kids didn’t make us worth acknowledging either. Not a single staff member came to take our order or even explain anything until I had to pull out Google Translate and tell them we hadn’t been asked what we wanted. That’s not a language barrier—that’s basic service being nonexistent. If you enjoy being overlooked and wondering whether you’ll ever get to order, this is your place. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ¥2,000–3,000

Hiko is a famous eel and Japanese restaurant located on the basement floor of Palette Kumoji (Department Store Ryubo). Recommended for people who want to eat Japanese food such as eel, tempura, tempura, katsudon, and oyakodon. During lunch and dinner, it can be crowded with customers waiting in line, so I recommend going at different times. Other restaurants in the basement of the department store include the pasta restaurant "Porco Rosso" and the Okinawan restaurant "Furusato." In the food court, there are ``Greengourmet'', ``Gyutan Higashiyama'', and ``Kanbizen DELI''. Imported grocery store Kitano Ace is also a tenant.
