My mom and I were craving Indian food and didn't feel like driving to a restaurant we used to frequent, so I searched for something nearby and came across Himalayan Chulo. The reviews were great and the menu looked delicious, so we decided to give it a try. I'm so glad we did because this is honestly the best Indian food I've had! From the moment we walked in, the service was exceptional. We were greeted right away, seated promptly, given water, menus, and plates immediately, and our order was taken quickly. Throughout the meal, my water glass was refilled before it was ever empty, which was such a pleasant surprise. So many restaurants forget about water refills, and I really appreciated the attentiveness. The young hostess/server was incredibly sweet and attentive, and the woman who seated us was also very kind and welcoming. You can tell the food is made fresh to order. There was a bit of a wait before the food arrived, but fresh made Indian food is absolutely worth it. We ordered the Aloo Matar, Saag Aloo, Navratan Korma, Garlic Herbal Naan, and Kheer for dessert. Every single dish was outstanding. The flavors were rich, unique, and incredibly well balanced. Even after reading the menu descriptions, I wasn't prepared for just how flavorful everything would be. I kept saying throughout the meal how amazing the food was because I was genuinely blown away. The only small thing I'd mention is that it was quite warm inside when we first arrived, probably over 80 degrees, though it cooled down some by the time our food came out. If you're very heat sensitive, it's just something to be aware of. Overall, the service was wonderful, the food was phenomenal, and the parking was easy and convenient. People were extremely friendly and wait for takeout wasnt bad. The flavor of the food was lacking for my usual Nepali food. The momo had way too much wrapping and that was what you tasted every bite. The biryani chicken rice was not well seasoned and the chicken was dry. If you've had Nepali food youll be let down; if you've never had it before I guess you might enjoy it.
