Have a nice time here and share perfectly cooked bacon, prawns and fried fish with your friends. Offering tasty French toasts, biscuits and flija is the hallmark of this restaurant. You will be offered good draft beer. As most visitors notice, coffee is really delicious.
Live music is performed by musicians in the evening. The nice staff at The Hitchin' Post Restaurant & Saloon can show how much they appreciate their guests. We’ve been eating here about once a month or once every two months for the last two years. Our favorite has always been the prime rib— perfectly cooked, amazing flavor, and not doctored with a bunch of overpowering seasonings—but the last couple of times we’ve gone it’s been pretty lackluster. The meat is not as tender, has quite a bit of gristle, and this last round had been overly seasoned with a mystery sauce (Worcestershire??) and some kind of cooking wine? And each prime rib had a dark spot in the center that smelled and tasted of alcohol. Not sure why the change but please return to your original recipe. It was delicious as it was and the meat could stand on its own. Now I don’t even know what we’re eating. We love this place. Its staff and atmosphere can’t be beat. Hoping y’all go back to how you’ve been doing things because it was always amazing and never disappointed.
