If you have never tried Vietnamese cuisine, you should order a table and try the menu at this restaurant. Do not leave without tasting perfectly cooked bbq sandwiches, banh mi and Bbq pork. Degust good fruitcake, Egg tarts and che at Hoang Tofu. Get your meal started with delicious vietnamese coffee, bubble tea or juice.
This place is good for guests who have lunch on the go because they can order food as a takeaway. The nice staff meets you at this spot all year round. Professional service is something that visitors note in their comments. You will appreciate reasonable prices. The ambiance is cozy, many people appreciated the style of this restaurant. Google gives it 4.4 so you can choose Hoang Tofu to spend a good time here.

The only person working there was an older man. He was not friendly, only pointed and grunted at menu, etc. The only time he smiled or was pleasant was when I tipped him nicely, which he didn’t really deserve based upon his rough manner. They were out of crab tomato soup which I’d specifically come for, so I easily ordered the beef pho. I just wanted some good hot soup. It tasted fine going down, although I’ll say the meat did not seem of very good quality, plenty of fat and tendons. Otherwise it tasted fine. However, this soup did not sit well with me! I’m still dealing with a very upset stomach almost 24- hours later. I’ve never had pho make me feel poorly, but this sure did. Also, the cleanliness of the place should have been my tip off. I dined at Hoang Tofu on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 1 pm. Hoang Tofu is certainly a hole in the wall type establishment offering various Vietnamese dishes including pho, bun bo hue (spicy beef noodle soup), and banh mi, banh cuon/uot (rice crepe), and many more. It is a small place with very few tables, so I would not count on dining in if it's busy. I had a bowl of bun bo hue and a banh mi. Several times in the past I've had the bun bo hue, and the meat had tasted old. But this time, the meat tasted okay. So be aware that there are some consistency issues with meat quality in the bun bo, and potentially other noodle soups. The banh mi tasted good and is excellent for the price. There is a coconutty essence in the banh mi that is quite unique. Although Hoang Tofu's food tasted pretty authentic and decent by Vietnamese standards, I think it lacks restaurant quality. I think Hoang Tofu has more potential as a catering/ordering to-go business than a sit-in dining experience not only because there are very few tables for diners to eat in, but their service leaves much to be desired. The old folk running the front isn't a very patient guy and seem to not like answering "stupid" questions. Don't get me wrong, I think the food gets great reviews by the Vietnamese locals and there's a lot to try here, but I would not expect good service. A solid 3/5 stars.
