Hokkaido Ramen Santouka definitely takes you by surprise. Located in the food court of Mitsuwa, one would never think that a fantastic ramen spot was in such a place. Hokkaido Ramen Santouka doesn't have a lot of options in terms of ramens. They sell a few classic types of ramen (e.g. chashu ramen), but they can cook it for you in many different styles. For instance, a basic chashu ramen can be turned into a shoyu (soy sauce based) ramen, salt ramen, miso ramen, etc. It's definitely an interesting way to taste a single dish with many broth variants. The spot is cash only, so that's something to keep in mind. That being said, the food is very reasonably priced. I usually get a medium portion and it's enough to make me slightly full. Overall, Hokkaido Ramen Santouka is a solid spot with good food, but it doesn't stand out a whole lot compared to other ramen spots such as those in Sawtelle. It is unique in how many different varieties and styles they have though.
