Claiming an event will likely hit capacity to sell expensive cover charges, then it's maybe half full at best? Ventilation sucked too. Something was dripping from the ceiling onto the dance floor, could be a roof leak or condensation issue. Sound system was pretty good though.

By far the worst music venue I’ve ever been to. The area where the stage is located is unbelievably small and once the room is filled, you’re sequestered to a hallway or recessed floor that has no visibility of the stage. I honestly have no idea how the layout of this place is not a fire hazard. The sound quality is poor, at best. Concerts need to end by 8 pm, as the place turns into a nightclub. Abysmal experience. Feel bad for the artists that get booked here. Save your money

If “it sounded really fun but ended up being pretty lame” were a place, it would be Holocene. I’ve been here a dozen or so times over the years - to dance nights and local performances - and the staff are fine, the place is clean, the food is fine, but there is *always* something off and/or uncomfortable about this place. Tonight may have been the last straw though. At their “Heated Rivalry” night they played LITERALLY ONE SONG from the entire soundtrack (“Sea Lion”) in the 3+ hours were were there; that’s like advertising Beyoncé night and then not actually playing Beyoncé??? I give up on this place.
