The atmosphere was welcoming and inviting! That's the ONLY positive. There was one server for the entire restaurant that was noticeably overwhelmed. The sweet tea tasted like soured dirt (you know the flavor), the coffee tasted like warm water, the toast was so hard that it almost cut my lip when I bit into it, the grits weren't even warm enough to melt butter, and nothing had any salt at the very least. We asked for different drinks to replace the sweet teas multiple times and still only had one replaced. Two of our drinks never got a refill. We had to ask a few times for silverware. We absolutely love the food and If you have to wait it is well worth it . I would also like to add their burgers and sandwiches have an awesome Oi gooey cheese factor and the cheese sauce on the hotdogs hit the spot as well Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

For the past few years, my wife and I have been going out on saturday drive for an hour or two and find a locally owned restaurant and eat a cheeseburger. We have been to dozens of restaurants, and the Home Place has the best cheeseburger we can find. (The Rebel) is the perfect burger. Everybody needs to try this burger. You will not be disappointed.
