Whenever anyone tries a restaurant in an area that they are unfamiliar with, they take a big chance. There is always the national and local chains: quick, familiar, therefore comforting and always closeby; often in your face. Saturday morning I took ride and a chance and headed to Hometown Cafe, foregoing Cumbys and McDonald's. So many varied choices!! I had a wrapped medley of eggs, fried veggies and Italian sausage called Jesse's Omelet and you should have it too. The home fries hit the spot without dumping ketchup on them. I chatted with the friendly wait crew who answered all my questions about the menu and more. I eyed the huge muffins on display...next time champ! The coffee kicked me in the brain which was good because I had more miles to go and a short time to get there. My bottom line here is great little restaurant: clean, great omelet, menu has variety and a wonderful staff. Yes, they have some awesome lunch ideas too on the back of the menu.
