The beef and broccoli has absolutely zero flavor, and the rice was unbelievably dry. This is my third time trying Hong Kong and everytime I’ve been disappointed by this place. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50

Service, food & atmosphere were wonderful.... Happily surprised at how clean the restaurant was as well. Employees didn't just stand around, they were attentive to the tables and actually cleaning, too. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

My husband and I are visiting Nampa and he found Hong Kong Restaurant and decided to take me there on Mother's Day because I am from HK. I give it an OK because the service was good, the interior was comfy and clean. The food was "meh". First of all, I think the restaurant name is definitely misleading because most of the dishes on the menu is American Chinese, I would say maybe a couple of the dishes are Hong Kong. We ordered Hot and Sour Soup, Chow Fun with beef and Mongolian Chicken. The Hot and Soup was the worst I've had - the flavor was fine but it was nothing like a hot and sour soup - nobody uses beef broth as the base and put beef in hot and sour soup!!! The Mongolian Chicken was tasty - my husband liked it. I can't tell if it was authentic because we don't have Mongolian Chicken in Hong Kong and I have never ordered it. The Beef Chow Fun was bland. The noodle (fun) was al dente - which is a big NO NO in a chow fun dish. Both chicken and beef dishes were greasy. I asked the wait staff for some chili paste because my chow fun was so bland. They charged me $0.89 for the paste! I can't believe they charge you for that, even though it's not much. I was happily surprised to see a Hong Kong restaurant in Nampa but I was very disappointed and I think they should change their name to something else, nothing Hong Kong at all.
