Probably the best miso ramen I've ever had. But you have to get there early and line up or you'll be waiting for more than an hour. The ramen is thick and really grabs the soup flavor. The soup itself is velvety smooth, buttery miso. The chashu is thick, juicy, and nicely flavored. The menma seems homemade, with a milder taste than most, and it's very soft. The egg in my soup was jammy, bordering on hard-boiled, with nice flavor. The moyashi on top were pretty flavorless until submerged in the soup. I added a few dashes of vinegar at the end which brought out the umami of the soup even more. The chashu-meshi is also really good. It contained a lot more meat than I expected to finishing it off was a struggle. One thing I didn't like is when they fire up the wok to make the chashu-meshi, the whole place fills with smoke, so my clothes smelled like pork for the rest of the day. Overhyped! The ramen was only okey at best. The meat was not good. Very fatty and hard. Had the spicy miso. Also the store clerk seamed extra irritated against us even though we just queued quietly as everybody else, standing as far as we could to the side.
