Hos Moi sits right by the docks in Kristiansand, and it’s the kind of place that invites you in for a lazy lunch by the water. The atmosphere is easy-going, the setting lovely, and the staff are as friendly and helpful as you could wish for. I went for the clams, and they arrived after 20 minutes and 31 seconds. A fair wait, but absolutely worth it. The clams were succulent, and the broth they swam in was a full-on flavour bomb — layered with roe, capers, and just the right balance of richness and bite. Each spoonful felt like a small celebration. The downside? The portion size. For the price, I expected a bit more generosity. As delicious as it was, it leaned a little too much toward “fine dining taste” and not enough toward “fill-you-up lunch.” On the bright side, the cocktails here are solid — refreshing, well-mixed, and a good excuse to linger longer by the water.
