Lo Sgobbone Da Pippo is a family-run establishment in Rome that serves authentic Roman cuisine at reasonable prices. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, with a rustic interior design that adds to the cozy atmosphere. The location is in the Flaminio neighborhood, away from the tourist areas, making it a great spot for locals and tourists alike to enjoy a traditional Roman meal.
The menu features classic Roman dishes such as Spaghetti alla Carbonara, Pasta e Fagioli, and Trippa alla Romana. The house red wine is highly recommended and pairs well with the hearty pasta dishes. For dessert, the Mont Blanc is a must-try.
Lo Sgobbone also offers outdoor seating for those who want to enjoy their meal al fresco. The staff is friendly and attentive, providing excellent service despite the crowded dining room.
Overall, Lo Sgobbone Da Pippo is a fine dining spot that offers outstanding cuisine, generous portions, and an authentic Roman experience. It's a hidden gem in Rome that should not be missed.

We dined here in a hot summer night during July. They gave us a table inside next to a wide open window. They staff and the owner were very friendly. We had Maialino al Forno and classic Carbonara Pasta. Both were delicious. The Maialino al Forno was tender, fully cooked and roasted. The Carbonara was buttery delicious. We were there with a baby, they attended to all of our needs. The atmosphere was nice, traditional and simple. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: €40–50 Kid-friendliness: They were nice to give us extra stuff to support our baby and feed her.
