We were in Rome for a few days in 2018 (6 yrs ago). We were very tired at Trevi Fountain so we decided to go somewhere nearby to eat. Tripadvisor receommended Hostaria Trevi which is a few steps form the fountain (literally, it is at Via del Lavatore 42, approx. 50 meters from the fountain). The place is very small, only with 5-6 tables maybe. There was a waiter I supposed he is the owner too. He was maybe at his 70's at that time. We ordered our meals and while waiting, we were just looking around. On the walls there were full of celebrities pictures even 40-50 years earlier and our waiter was also there on every picture! This gentleman brought a piece of history to us and it seemed he is proud of his life but yet he made his work with subservient (is it the right word here?). The meal was fantastic and we felt honoured to eat there. I hope this tiny little restaurant goes well and his owner and his family is at good health! God bless you!
