Grabbed pastries here multiple mornings during our recent visit. The big foot was a hit with my kids. The caramel on the pecan roll was a bit too chewy, even when warmed. The GF pastries were good, but they sell out fast. The danish was also good. Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $1–10 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Doughnuts, Scones

I can't express my gratitude to Hot Lava Bakery! We had a VERY last minute, LARGE request....they pulled it off! The quality was amazing. The selection had everything you could imagine. Everyone had their favorite! Our send off party was a hit! And the pastries were the a sweet bonus for a bittersweet goodbye. Thank you again!!!!! Meal type: Other Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Sent $80 on a variety of items.....all bad. Chocolate Bismarck was OK. Choc was good, but donut had no taste. Taste was either overcooked or old....or both since the filling was running. The cupcake was old, dry and icing was even dry! The croissant was dry and tough, it might be a day old or so. They never gave us the cinnamon roll we paid for. The $46 cake had an alcohol aftertaste, cheep frosting that must use imitation products, cake itself was chocolate, but didn't gave a chocolate taste and was dry too. Raspberry fill was bitter and weird aftertaste. To top all off was put in a box too big for cake and didn't survive the drive home without collapsing. Upon inspection I could tell it was because a whole section of bottom layer was missing and filled in with inches of frosting in its place.

Bottom line. I don't think this would fly anywhere. Products are old and dry. High price is OK if your getting high end products, but these tasted worse than many bakeries in the store. Now I have a headache, heart burn and no money.
