What an incredible find! The food at Calgary Hot Plate Restaurant & Sweets was wholeheartedly flavourful and absolutely delicious. You can truly taste the care and passion that goes into every dish. From the moment we walked in, the owner gave us the warmest and friendliest welcome and took the time to explain the dishes and make recommendations. Knowing that everything is made from scratch made the experience even better. We followed his recommendation and ordered the BBQ Platter, along with several other dishes including the Mutton Karahi and Chicken Biryani. Everything was outstanding — beautifully seasoned, full of flavour, and cooked with real care. The combination of incredible homemade food and such genuine hospitality made this place stand out. An absolute hidden gem in Calgary. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it! I last ordered from this restaurant about 2 years ago and went there in 2016 as well with my family. We absolutely loved all the dishes and had no upset stomach. I don't know if the quality of customer service has changed recently, but I do know that at their best, their dishes are awesome.
