hot pot, which used to be called fondue chinoise is, as all other fondues are, pure fun: it takes the idea of playing with food to the next level. this hot pot restaurant is way more charming than your average chinese joint. modern and retro at the same time. service is competent and gentle. what about the food? several broths are available: until now, I tried the beef, pork with spices and mushrooms, the last being my favorite. the pork with spices is oily and very spicy but the flavor is really incredible. I ended up using it as flavor enhancer for other broths. a buffet with many spices & seasonings are available to add to your hot pot: you have to know what you're doing or it will end in disaster. everything I tried to cook in the broth was incredibly satisfying: all the vegetables, being the bok choi and the lotus root my fav, the meat and the seafood are 'of the best quality'. great fish balls, shrimps and crabs: they are slightly tricky to eat with hashis but you can ask for a nutcrackers. fun, fun, fun.
