Stayed in the hotel for a week. Nice room, clean and good beds. The service at breakfast and dinner is very good! But the reception team could be friendlier. When you checked in it was just: Room isn't ready, you can come back from 2 p.m. instead of: How was your trip? Etc Ski area is relatively small and not quite enough for a week. Rooms: 4 Service: 3 Location: 5

Stopped in last night for a quick meal, and had one of the best meals I have had in years - Tiroler Knödelsuppe was perfect, the consommé was clear and the dumpling was properly cooked & seasoned - and the main meal Tiroler Schweinsstelze (Pork Knuckle) was the best I have ever had without a doubt, the meat was tender yet the crackling was crisp with that delicious chewy caramelised 'sticky teeth' texture you have when everything is right - again, the dumpling was good, and everything cooked well......and the portion was so large I couldn't finish it! Even the salad was a good mix between the sweetness of the corn and the sharpness of the beet with the dressing......top marks to the kitchen, and also the wait staff who were very friendly and made sure I wasn't waiting between courses. Excellent, really happy with the evening especially as I wasn't looking for anything special - but certainly got it regardless. I would recommend Hotel Gasthof Brücke to anyone looking for a good hearty traditional meal in Mayrhofen, they have it down well.
