Hotel Orion Nepal in Sunwal, Nepal, aspires to luxury according to their website. While it boasts a potentially grand ambiance, possibly the largest in Sunwal, my experience suggests there's room for improvement. Highlights: Large Ambiance: The website portrays a spacious and impressive atmosphere. Amenities Galore (Potentially): The hotel advertises a restaurant, swimming pool, spa, and even EV charging stations (though functionality might be spotty based on my experience). Great Location (for Exploration): Sunwal's proximity to Lumbini, Pokhara, and Chitwan National Park makes it ideal for exploring these popular tourist destinations. Needs Work: Hospitality: The service needs some refinement. Construction Woes: During my visit, ongoing room construction might have impacted my stay. Air Quality Concerns: A major drawback is the presence of a nearby sugar factory. The resulting air pollution can be quite unpleasant, especially for those sensitive to it. Overall Rating: 3/5 While the website promises grandeur, the reality fell short. The construction and, more importantly, the air pollution significantly affect the experience. Additional Notes: Keep in mind that hotel websites often showcase the best aspects. Reviews like mine can offer a more balanced perspective. Recommendations: If air quality is a major concern, consider exploring other hotels in Sunwal or nearby areas that might offer a cleaner environment.
