Great Views but that’s about it. I never leave these reviews but this is not a 5 star hotel feels more like a 3 maybe 4. Very outdated. Was supposed to come for two nights will end up staying 1.

I stayed at Hotel Vistabella for a week in mid-May. I deliberately chose this very hotel to properly commemorate my first trip to Roses in the summer of 1975 — now more than 50 years ago. Even after all these years, I still remember Hotel Vistabella vividly. On Sundays, we used to take the boat from Santa Margarita to the Sunday market in Roses. We would moor along the quay, then continue past the bay of Canyelles Petit and dock at Hotel Vistabella for a cocktail. A wonderful hotel, welcoming, with the best atmosphere. From there, we would continue to Cala Montjoi. Anchoring in the bay. Jumping into the water. One or two cocktails at the El Bulli bar. At some point back then, I thought to myself: “One day, when I’m grown up and successful, I’ll come back here — to Hotel Vistabella.” And now I finally did. The peaceful atmosphere was soothing. The welcome was warm and friendly. The check-in could not have been more pleasant. Thoughtful staff helped with the luggage and explained all the amenities of the suite. The view: priceless and incomparable. The nights: wonderfully quiet. And then the breakfast — simply divine. I found myself wondering: where on earth have I actually been going on holiday for the past 50 years? My sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to this unforgettable experience. Service: 5
