I ordered a s’mores hot chocolate and vegan chocolate cake. The hot chocolate was your average cafe barista style hot Chocolate had high hopes that it’d be really chocolatey and creamy but was left disappointed and the worst part was the marshmallow on top was tough and very chewy and unpleasant to eat. It almost tasted like medicine. Vegan chocolate was okay, slightly on the dry end though. The only great part of this was the presentation, they looked amazing but flavour wise ?? I did not feel welcomed at all, was definitely a very uncomfortable experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Warm and cozy ambience and the store has a large range of desserts on their menu and beverages.
We got the Lemon Meringue and Banoffee Alaska. Both portions are very generous and was delicious!
The only slight downfall is with the place being so popular, it can get a bit crowded and seating does become very limited, especially during weekend nights.
Like a regular cafe they have ample seating space and a comfy couch for those want to lounge a little. I just wish they would put more comfy seats around but I guess they're trying to maximise seating availability.
The cafe offers everything chocolate. And for tonight we ordered Dark Chocolate Mocha and an Oreo Cupcake as shown in the picture below. The Mocha is superb. One of the best I had so far but I was a bit disappointed with the cupcake. With it's grace and marvel you would expect a moist yummy cupcake but once we dug in the cupcake crumbled in the middle which I guess dampened the experience however the taste was satisfactory. My friend who had been here has suggested we try the waffles next time and that will be for another day.
House of Chocolate Dessert Cafe is a sure must if you're a chocolate addict and you're within the vicinity. With a wide array of menu to choose from and short wait times you'll surely tempt your chocolate cravings
