Friday fish fry with a group of friends. Fish was good and crispy but pieces were smaller than other fish fries I have recently attended. Apple sauce was store bought in one of those containers that you peel the top off. Wife had the tater tots, they were crispy and good. Service was a bit out of sync as I received my food first and was nearly finished as others on the opposite side were just being served. Waitress was attentive though. They also serve beer. We were seated in the main hall and it is basically a large cafeteria. Good fish fry, not the best, but not the worst either. Cost was very reasonable at around $10 a dinner. Did you ever eat at Charlie's back in the day? Then you ate at the Houston Pub without even knowing it. I love that Charlie has continued his unique atmosphere and food! He and his staff love what they do and it shows. This will always be one of my main "go-to's." Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
