We had brunch on the patio, which was a nice setting and made for an enjoyable morning although the chairs are a bit uncomfortable. The food was good overall, though the drinks were just okay and didn’t really stand out. Service was a bit slow, and while everyone was pleasant, it felt like there was a lack of connection and attentiveness throughout the meal. Nothing was particularly bad, but nothing really wowed us either. Overall, it was a decent brunch experience, but not memorable enough that I’d feel the need to make a special trip back. This place is an absolute GEM!! Hummingbird's food and service was an all out KNOCKOUT! HOME RUN! BRUNCH GOALS! My husband ordered the Green Shakshouka with Grilled Chicken and I ordered the Chicken and Waffles plus an over medium egg. When I tell you I was impressed, truly the food was DEVINE!! The Shakshouka was lovely, light, hearty, and well-balanced. The Chicken and Waffles was a stellar surprise. While in some places the chicken is amazing or the waffles are amazing, BOTH the Chicken and the Waffles at Hummingbird were Out of this World!! The chicken's cut was fabulous with a light, well seasoned, delicate breading. The waffles were thick and flavorful with beautiful hints of cinnamon in every bite. The only remnants of this meal left are two of six lovely Ricotta Fritters. A gift, these fritters were light, airy, and soft, brilliantly paired with a beautiful mascarpone cream and seasonal berry jam. The chef of this restaurant is certainly a chef to celebrate!! Koli and E were amazing servers. They were attentive, kind, and offered amazing recommendations. Truly everyone who took care of us were AMAZING!!
