We visited Hummingbird for the first time and really enjoyed their omakase experience. Very nice selection of nuanced pieces often with matching small drinks (bonus), great emphasis on savory flavors, nice diversity with charring of some of the fishes to give them an extra dimension. They change the omakase course every two months so definitely going back. They have in house sake sommeliers who can further elevate the experience (if sake is your thing). One last thing: obviously fish were front and center, but he also served a nutty pesto side with New Zealand King Salmon that was out of this World. Price per person: $100+

I came back home to visit and wanted to try Omakase for the first time with my best friend. She had been to Omakase before at other places, so we got to try Hummingbird Sushi for the first time together. Our reservation was for 7:30p and we showed up a bit early. They were able to seat us quickly and even served us a small bowl of miso soup. We started promptly at 7:30 and the 10 courses began to flow. The photos I added to this review are only 3 of the 10 courses we ate. ALL sashimi was incredibly fresh and melted in your mouth. The sushi rice was warm and sweet. The courses were beautifully presented and had complex flavors. We even had a snow crab and pasta dish that was a surprise and delight. You even got to cook thin slices of delicious encrusted beef on a stone burner. Chef was engaging and meticulous. He told us the menu changes every 2 months, so I'd like to go back in June! Price per person: $100+ Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: House Crème Brûlée, Sushi & Sashimi Combination, Scallop Sashimi

Creative, original, and mouthwatering. Chef Ji and Team were so friendly and welcoming. We loved talking with them at the sushi counter. Every dish had so much flavor and was more than just a normal omakase. They even made a pasta dish with lobster and crab! This was an incredible deal. It was advertised as 10+ omakase but we had 20+ and they were all delicious. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
