I already wrote a review while eating, but leaving this place was seriously awful so I have to leave another rewritten one. The service was awful. The lady that helped us was really rude when we were asking questions about the menu. And when we payed to leave she added a tip on without asking??? I think it was a 5 dollar tip too? Which I love to tip, but she was genuinely so rude I had NO intention of tipping. And the food was not even that good either Overall really bad experience. Also the place is being remodeled, but that’s no excuse to hang an open sign loosely over a customers head??? An open sign fell ONTO A CUSTOMER! And no one in the staff cared?! They’re so lucky that he was nice because they could’ve been seriously sued. I will never return here. I hated this experience. I wish I could get a refund it was so bad- spend your money anywhere else. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Recommended dishes: Pita

We were visiting Seattle and thought to try Egyptian/Mediterranean food; glad we stopped by the Hummus Café! The falafel was impeccable, done the Egyptian style as it was made with fava beans. Tried the koshari, a classic Egyptian comfort dish, so good and very filling. The lamb shawerma was so good as well. We tried some of the appetizers, including the hummus and baba ghanoush, sublime! We were recommended to try the mint limeade and hibiscus tea which were made fresh, glad we tried them as they were so refreshing. The service was excellent and the space was wonderful! We’ll be back next time we’re in town as we look forward to dine here again. Service: Dine in Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Lamb Shawarma Platter, Koshari
