I had lunch delivered. I ordered the general tso chicken with fried rice and won ton soup and extra egg rolls. The chicken was way too salty and wasn't even spicy. The fried rice was bland so was the soup. The only good thing was the egg rolls. They were very good. Service: Delivery Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 2

Called to ask why they added an additional charge (less than $3) to my doordash order and was told it was because I substituted fried rice for steamed rice, which is an upcharge. I have no problem with that, but when I tried to tell her that there was no upcharge on the app, she started to argue with me. When I finally got to say what I was trying to say, I told her that one of the meals did have an upcharge on the app for fried rice, but the second meal did not. I really don't care about a charge of less than 3 dollars, but let me at least speak without being interrupted. I again tried telling her this, but she got mad and told me, "Whatever, contact doordash for refund." Then she told me to never order from Hunan Star again and hung up on me. I called back and asked to speak to the manager and was told that she was the manager. I asked to speak to the owner and was told the owner does not speak English. I've been coming to hunan Star since I was in high school and have never had an issue like this. She's definitely right about one thing. I will never be ordering from there again. You don't tell your patrons "whatever" and hang up on them when they are simply TRYING to bring a problem to your attention.
