NAHHHH this pizza slapped so hard. The crust was crispy but still soft, the cheese was stretchy, and the sauce wasn’t overly sweet. The toppings were actually generous too. I ordered a large thinking I’d have leftovers. I was VERY wrong. !!!DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY FROM ANY HUNGRY HOWIES!!! Buckle up because this has been a ride. I started by ordering a pizza for delivery from my closest location at around 8:20. Easy enough process. Until 20 minutes after I place the order I get a call saying they don’t do delivery.. even though it’s an option on their app and website. Then, because I started sipping some wine when I thought my order had gone through I ordered from another hungry Howie’s location (this one) at about 8:50 because I thought maybe just the other location didn’t do delivery. My mistake - apparently pizza places don’t deliver pizzas anymore. However, I was not informed until close to AN HOUR (about 9:40) after placing my order that they don’t accept cash payments for delivery, even though that’s an option when checking out (note: did not mention that they don’t deliver their own pizzas). So I paid over the phone. While the transaction went through on my end they said it didn’t go through on theirs but that they’d have a manager clear it since I had received a notification that the payment was pending. Cool, my pizzas paid for, should be almost ready - they said about 40 minutes. That sucks already but it is what it is right? 10:50 comes (TWO AND A HALF HOURS after I ordered the pizza) and still nothing. So I call the store. They don’t do delivery either - of course because why would a website that offers delivery do delivery? So silly of me to assume. They’ve been waiting for the last hour for a door dasher to pick it up. It has now been nearly 3 hours since I started the process of trying to get one single pizza, and I’ve got nothing, and it’s now expected to get here at midnight. Reminder - I started this process at 8:20. Still hungry. Hungry enough that even though I’m sure my pizza is going to come cold and sad I’m still going to eat it. I love hungry Howie’s and their seasoned crust, but this is just ridiculous. The staff here was very nice and I’m sure they’re doing their best but my god Hungry Howie’s needs to get it together.
