The prawn tomato pasta with small Italian olives is delicious. Like puttanesca with prawns. The family own and operate the place, live upstairs, I believe. Price per person: ¥3,000–4,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

1 STAR – Absolutely disgraceful behaviour This was one of the most shocking dining experiences I’ve ever witnessed — not just in Japan, but anywhere in the world. A small group from our party arrived four minutes late, and instead of handling it calmly or professionally, the owner completely lost control. He verbally abused our group, then started throwing chairs, all in front of six young children, who were visibly frightened and upset. I have travelled extensively in Japan and have never seen a Japanese person behave like this. The aggression, lack of respect, and total absence of basic hospitality was disgusting. This was not a misunderstanding — it was a grown adult having a tantrum and taking it out on paying customers and innocent kids. There was no apology, no attempt to de-escalate, just pure hostility. We immediately left and of course never returned. This place should be ashamed of itself. If you value basic human decency, family-friendly environments, or respectful service, do not go here. There are plenty of incredible restaurants in Japan — this is absolutely not one of them. We will never, ever return, and I strongly advise others to stay well clear. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
