Of the handful of Korean restaurants in Morris County, Hwang Bu Ja is my go-to for my family meals. Having done both indoor and take out dining, the service and preparation are all very intentional and the staff are thoughtful in ensuring your dining experience is positive. My most recent experience with Hwang Bu Ja was doing take-out. The mixed seafood & beef tofu soup/stew fell short of my expectations however- the order we received only had 2 pieces of seafood and a few shreds of beef. The japchae to-go order is also quite small and is prepared differently - w/o soy sauce + sesame oil (I know Korean food also has different regional varieties! Just flagging for anyone who might be curious). I still highly recommend visiting Hwang Bu Ja - their bulgogi is fantastic.

A hole in the wall korean eatery, but wow! The food is amazing. No. 29, homes style ramen, spicy version, has very unique smokey taste. Caught me off guard but my taste buds were very delighted! The kimchi has a different taste to it, to me it's the best kimchi I ever tasted. To me everything seems so traditional, my palette is very happy. Highly recommended. I will return to this establishment as my go to for korean food.
