Overpriced for mediocre steaks! Came for a special night out but was met with much attitude from the waiter and subpar food. You would get better food from the Keg and with much less damage from your wallet. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Price per person: $100+

We had really high expectations for Hy's Steakhouse & Cocktail Bar given its reputation and long history, but unfortunately it was a bit disappointing. The porterhouse ($132) was quite thin, lacked a proper crust, and had a lot of sinew. The Beef Wellington was decent but nothing special. That said, the tableside Caesar salad, garlic bread, and appetizers were all very good. Overall, the steak didn’t live up to expectations. From my experience, Caesar's Steak House was better. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+
