In the picturesque town of Portofino, there is a fine dining spot that stands out from the rest. I Gemelli offers Mediterranean cuisine with a focus on seafood, served in a charming ambiance with stunning views of the harbor. The interior design is elegant and refined, with crisp white linens and tasteful decor. Prices are reasonable for the location and quality of the food.
Located in the heart of Portofino, I Gemelli is the perfect place to enjoy a meal while taking in the sights and sounds of the bustling harbor. Special features include outdoor seating with a breathtaking view of the bay.
Some standout dishes on the menu include the octopus salad, stuffed squid, and sea bass oven-baked in salt. For drinks, they offer a variety of cocktails, soft drinks, and wines, including La Bitta Colli Di Luni, a self-made wine that pairs perfectly with their langoustine and prawn dishes.
The service at I Gemelli is exceptional, with owners Mateo and Paolo going above and beyond to ensure their guests have a memorable experience. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a delicious meal in a beautiful setting, I Gemelli is not to be missed.

What can I say about what is maybe the best resto I've eaten in in Italy. I wasn't looking that forward to Portofino. Ya know, kinda the chichi spot for the moneyed classes. Well i was wrong, i loved it. We were there for 3 nights and we ate one lunch and 2 dinners at I Gemelli. Some of the best food i've ever had in italy. And the baked orata with potatoes was def the best fish dish i've ever had. Matteo is the perfect host. Attentive and humble. We ate one dinner next door and it was...meh. It's a small piazza, and they have 2 restos, one on each side of the marina. He runs one, his twin (hence gemelli) runs the other. I can't recommend this highly enough. Not sure if i'll ever get back to Portofino, but i'll remember this resto for a long time.
