This place is truly a hidden gem! The food was some of the best we’ve had in Washington, DC. Every dish felt authentically Italian, and the focaccia was absolutely incredible—especially paired with the olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The service exceeded every expectation. We discovered Ristorante i Ricchi through OpenTable. Our group of 15 was visiting from Tennessee and looking for a last-minute dinner reservation on a Thursday night. After making multiple calls elsewhere without success, we decided to give them a try. We explained our situation, and after checking availability, they graciously accommodated our large group. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed. Not only were they able to fit us in, but they seated all 15 of us together—something we never expected would be possible on such short notice. We were even greeted by the owner herself. She was genuinely excited to have us and wanted to personally meet the person who made the reservation to thank them. During our visit, we learned that the restaurant has been in business for 37 years. Even more impressive, the chef who was there when they first opened is still cooking there today. That kind of dedication is rare and speaks volumes about the heart behind this restaurant. The entire experience felt like being welcomed into someone’s home. Everyone was exceptionally friendly, and the hospitality was second to none. This is a dining experience we won’t soon forget, and we will absolutely be back the next time we’re in DC! An evening of full of genuine Italian cuisine, atmosphere and hospitality filled our evening. Our group of fifteen from Tennessee was graciously welcomed by the hostess, owner and servers and experienced an evening that will be very memorable for days to come. Our server was very kind, gracious, patient and knowledgeable of the menu as well as the history of the restaurant and was excited to be apart of this 37 year established restaurant. He also shared some great stories with us of how he lived in Italy and that added to our fabulous experience. We will definitely share with our family and friends to patron this restaurant while in DC. We will for sure return to this family atmosphere restaurant. Was standing inside waiting for my ride for 5 minutes in 60 degree weather. Visiting town for meetings wearing a suit. Was asked to leave the establishment because I wasn't drinking. Would never dine in a place that doesn't allow people inside to stay warm. The restaurant was completely empty so maybe others feel the same. Atmosphere: 1
