This restaurant and Seattle First Baptist Church can be both really attractive for tourists. At IHOP, order nicely cooked omelettes, hash browns and grilled bacon. Many visitors say that waiters offer good buttermilk pancakes, strawberry crepes and French toasts here. Delicious wine is waiting for you at this place. Try the great French coffee, banana milkshakes or hot chocolate served here.

I went to this IHOP at around 3:30am this morning. I don't know if every server in this restaurant is trained to do this, but my server today, Christopher, needlessly stared down the POS machine while I keyed in my tip. As a courtesy to customers, servers really aren't supposed to do that, and I have not had that happen in any other food establishment in Seattle. Also, Christopher plainly told me the wrong total for my meal just before I began payment (it was about $5 less than the actual total) and never acknowledged the error. I only caught it and voiced my confusion after giving my tip and just before the payment was finalized. What's more, I was not shown much graciousness for my patronge by this man, as he kept talking over me multiple times when taking my order and checking in on my table (and this place was not busy today - only two other tables were being served during my visit). For lots of folks, a little patience and I humility go a long way in the restaurant experience. Some things were done right, but a lot was done wrong. And it's on some level concerning that I overheard this Christopher training another employee today. I fear more servers here will be shown bad habits in customer engagement. Won't be coming back. Price per person: $20–30

I’ve come to this IHOP for years. I no longer live in Seattle, but just had to stop in while visiting. Except for the updated menu (and prices), it’s like stepping into a comfortable time warp. My server, Ken, did a great job and was super friendly and personable. Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: $30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian offerings: Clearly labelled vegetarian dishes

This might be one of the best iHops in the world. It has a great location and is a rare chain that seems have found a niche and is thriving in the heart of anti chain Seattle. The classic building is vintage and makes everything compact and efficient. The food and service is good. Great place to take kids and really clean bathrooms. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
