Chose Ichiban Japanese Restaurant for our date night. This was our first time here, decided to sit in the main area instead of hibachi (although we would normally choose that) seating was quick, waitress was very polite. I found myself turning around alot watching the ppl at the hibachi area enjoying the theatrics of the chef. Very entertaining. We ordered a sushi appetizer (very pretty display) had salmon,tuna, and shrimp over rice. We ordered the Tempura and Steak Bento box. They started us off with a salad (with that amazing ginger dressing) and soup...not sure what kind it was..maybe miso? Delicious as well. Then the main course. Down side, we had to remind them that we ordered the appetizer, so it came after our food got there-- which meant we had been sitting there just waiting,instead of eating the appetizer. Either way, no harm, we ate and got full pretty quick, so had plenty of left overs!! Suggest you try the Bento box, it comes with a separate bowl of white rice...tempura shrimp and veggies,California rolls, we had the steak in ours. Very tasty. Thank you, we will definitely be coming back.
