Very busy but there are stools to sit and wait. They do take away as well so you need to be patient. The tenderloin pork that we had was nice but a bit bristles at the ends. The dinner set is extremely good value. I coukd not finish all my rice. Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

When it comes to tonkatsu in Ryogoku, the two biggest ones are Ichikatsu and Hasegawa. Ichikatsu here is a reasonably priced restaurant, and Hasegawa is a restaurant that sells branded pork made from Hirata Farm Bark Sangenton pork. I've been to both, but for everyday use, Ichikatsu is by far the place to go because you can get a regular loin cutlet set meal for less than 800 yen. The cost performance is amazing. On the other hand, Hasegawa is of course delicious, but the regular loin cutlet set meal is 1800 yen, so it can't be compared... However, I think it's good that there are two giants because they have been able to separate their habitats well. Now, about Ichikatsu, this is a U-shaped counter with 17 seats and only counter seats. There is definitely a line at lunchtime, so I always go after 2pm. That way, you can put them in without lining up. Although it is often full, the line is calm. It's fried for each order, so it takes a little longer to be served, but it's freshly fried and delicious. It's worth the wait. I usually eat the loin cutlet set meal, but this time I ordered a large loin cutlet for the first time. It's quite a volume. It might be a good choice if you're in the mood to eat tonkatsu. The rice goes well, and the senkyabe is delicious. Miso soup always comes with fresh clams, which is also a good thing. Shimiji goes well with tonkatsu. It's delicious. The store is kept well-maintained, and if you run out of tea, they'll replenish it right away without you having to call. That's why the customer service is so good and the cutlets are delicious. This will be a popular store. We are very grateful to be able to offer this product at this price in this day and age. Next time I would like to try the top loin cutlet.
