Nestled in the vibrant Ebisu area, Ichiya offers a relaxed pub and bar experience for those interested in Japanese and wine bar cuisines. Situated on the basement level of the Kamasuya Building, it provides a cozy atmosphere with a limited seating arrangement of 14 places. Diners should be prepared for a snug setting that might see some hustle during busier times.
The restaurant features offerings of alcohol, beer, small plates, and wine, primarily suited for a casual dining experience during lunch or dinner. While lunch service is available every day of the week from 12 to 2 PM, it's important to note that the place may get busier, potentially affecting service speed. At night, however, the operational days for dinner might be limited—previously running only on Tuesdays and Wednesdays—a situation possibly still reflective of the prior owner's health-related adjustments.
Reservations are accepted, yet the absence of recent reviews or updates from the new management leaves room for uncertainty around current offerings and service quality. Prospective visitors might consider exploring Ichiya for its simple but genuine fare, though the lack of modern accessibility features like a wheelchair-accessible entrance could pose challenges for some. Without recent feedback, potential patrons may wish to connect with the venue directly before visiting for the most current information.
Came here for lunch on a normal Wednesday at 12 noon and it was half full. They have 14 seats but it's quite tight. Lunch had two options - Hamburg or shogayaki, both 1100 yen which includes miso soup, rice and tofu salad. Ordered the Hamburg, the meal was ok - wasn't fantastic nor bad Believe here is a new owner or shop so could be just the start. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000
