The interior of Ikeda

You can go to this restaurant if you happen to be near Mitsuishi Shrine. Tasty unagi don, grilled eel and soup are the tastiest dishes. The cool staff at Ikeda can show how much they like their clients. The fast service is something these restaurateurs care about. The nice atmosphere may make you want to stay here for a bit more than you've initially planned. Based on the guests' feedback on Google, this place deserved 4.3.

We feel so blessed that we ended up here by chance. I've discovered that Unagi is my favorite Japanese dish thanks to this beautiful place. Unagi was grilled to perfection and so sweet, served with rice and liver broth all perfect. We arrived very late and they were so kind to still keep open for us and very polite. Thank you very much and sorry we could not express our satisfaction with words, so hope you read this review. Also they speak English and have English menu. Price per person: ¥4,000–5,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Mishima is known for its unagi, so we had to have it. Ikeda is a small restaurant with two attentive staff managing it. To be honest it was a little too quiet while we ate but we came right at opening. The unagi was steamed and perfectly grilled to order, and it isn't completely lathered in sauce like in typical restaurants found in America. The meal comes with some pickles that have been soaked in sake, and they also provide what I believe is finely ground Szechuan peppercorn that elevates the dish. It's a little expensive for a meal (4000 yen) but that's probably due to what I assume is wild caught eel. I think it's cheaper than the other nearby unagi restaurants.
