Absolutely great from soup to gelato! Great service - thanks Kristy! We had a group of 4 for our anniversary. Mushroom soup - amazing, saltimbocca - best I've ever had, branzino(special) - amazing, chocolate gelato - incredible. We are so happy we spent our anniversary here. A superior Italian restaurant. What fine dining should be. Ambiance: Warm and welcoming. On a Saturday night at 8:00 PM relatively quiet with just a few unoccupied tables. Conversation easy. Service: Professional. One small demerit. Upon seating the server asked what we wished to drink before we even had a chance to open the wine list. They do not have a full bar, beer and wine only. Food: A good omen: I had a glass of the house Cabernet which was outstanding. A very pleasant introduction to the high standards which were maintained through out our dinner. My steak au poivre (medium) initially came out medium rare. I asked for a bit more "fire" and it came back perfectly done within 5 minutes. There is a long string of "fine dining" venues on Federal Highway in the Boca/Delray area. Il Girasole must be considered the equal of any. We shall return.
