Laws is another great local spot in Iowa. The pork steaks are HUGE and always a favorite. The portions definitely do not disappoint. The food has that good, down home Cajun flavor you expect from a local place, and we have always had a great experience. One thing I make sure to do whenever we visit is buy a bottle of their pepper jelly to bring home. It is that good and has become part of the trip for me. Great food, generous portions, friendly service, and a hometown atmosphere. If you are passing through Iowa or live in the area, In Laws is definitely worth stopping at. And do not leave without grabbing some of the pepper jelly!
