Inari-ya saved my trip to Kyoto. I made a brief stop in Kyoto on my current Japan trip specifically to pick up tsujiura senbei, but the store I originally planned on going to was already sold out. But fortunately Inari-ya had them on the shelf. Tsujiura-senbei are the ancestor to the fortune cookie given out in many Chinese-American restaurants. There's an interesting history behind this (e.g. it explains why you find fortune cookies in America but not in China), and people can Google or read about this on wikipedia. Anyhow, I wanted to try the original Japanese version. I missed my chance to purchase them on a previous trip to Kyoto due to ignorance and didn't want to mess up again. Thank you Inary-ya!
