As others have noted, the quality has declined. I remember when their rogan josh was a rich, mild lamb curry in the classic Mughal style. Not these days, too spicy and not enough depth. Avoid the yellow dal -- not many lentils, soupy, and quite hot. Probably won't go back. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2

The food here is always "top notch" and hits where it needs to. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable as well. The food comes in good time and hot! There's interesting artwork on the walls, but the dining room is a little echoey so I feel like our voices are too loud and intrusive on others when speaking. Take out has always been fast and trouble free. Can't say enough about the India House. Vegetarian options: The vegetarian section is robust and has a number of options to satisfy your palate. Kid-friendliness: The staff worked well with our children from 1 - 15. There are many dishes that are sweet or mild that our 1 yr old could enjoy from our plate. I am honestly shocked at how bad this restaurant has gotten. My wife and I used to get it every other week and loved it! I have since gone to another Indian restaurant, but my wife still claims that India house dal is the best. So we got a huge takeout order this past weekend while my family was visiting and it was really bad. The food was sour and my wife found a bunch of plastic in her dal. Not only that, but I specifically asked for certain dishes to be mild so our toddler could eat them, and they came pretty spicy. On top of that, we were the only people picking up food, let alone in the restaurant and the cashier was acting like he was in the weeds! Never again. The plastic definitely solidified that decision.
