so glad we stayed here!!! if you are on a budget (or just want a no frills to sleep in puno), this is definitely your spot!!! - we arrived around 5am after an overnight bus and were able to get a room. they were so nice about it and have true 24-hour reception - wifi is very fast and consistent!! - breakfast (bread, jam, cheese, fresh juice) is a nice perk - we safely stored out luggage for 1 night when we did an island homestay - good hot showers, and shared bathrooms were clean! - cute rooftop terrace - the staff (especially the guy on night shift) are the nicest!!! they called a taxi for us really early in the morning we left Service: 5

Inka's Rest is a fantastic hostel: clean, central, quiet, fast WiFi, hot water showers, comfortable single beds (not bunk beds) in the dorms, nice breakfast (and coffee) included in the price, cool roof terrace with table tennis and hammocks, and Gilda is so kind and helpful! She booked me on a tour of the islands (2 days 1 night 150 soles with a fantastic trout lunch) and then sorted out an airport transfer (for only 20 Soles). Puno is a cute place, really safe and local, and Lake Titicaca is just INCREDIBLE. After 3-4 months of no tourism, it's great to visit and experience it all without the crowds, and support this beautiful place to recover its tourist industry after COVID and the protests!
