Wonderful experience. Small place with 12 seats, take your shoes off. Very intimate. Chef was so nice, friendly, and the chef choice Nigiri set was so insanely good. It paired beautifully with the refreshing cold sake. My brother had the Salmon Roe and Tuna bowl and it was delicious. The two other guests were also very friendly and the vibes were fantastic. Wonderful local sushi experience, top quality food that made my day in Kyoto. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We had an excellent experience here! We got the omakase for 1500. It came with 8 pieces of nigiri and miso soup. It was all delicious and very generous cuts of fish. Incredible value and the chef was very kind. Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Absolutely loved our experience at Inoue. It’s a small place, but in the best possible way - cozy, warm, and inviting. The owner was incredibly welcoming from the moment we walked in, and even though we only speak English, the atmosphere felt genuinely inclusive. The other patrons were just as friendly, which added to the charm and made the whole night feel like we stumbled into a local hidden gem. The sushi was incredible, fresh and perfectly prepared, and the sake (nihonshu) selection was top-notch. One of our favorite stops of the entire trip. Highly recommend!
