Without a doubt, this was the best meal we had in Kyoto. Despite the language barrier, we were welcomed with such kindness and care by the wonderful chef, who made us feel completely at home from the moment we arrived. Her warmth and hospitality were just as memorable as the food itself. Each small dish arrived one by one, creating a true journey of flavors and textures. Every course felt unique and thoughtfully prepared. The tofu was outstanding, the corn was surprisingly delicious, the fish was exceptional, the soup was comforting and full of flavor, and the dumplings were excellent. Honestly, every single dish was a delight. We were recommended this place by someone who works nearby, and we are incredibly grateful for that recommendation. One special highlight was the homemade plum drink, which was absolutely delicious and unlike anything we had tried before. The beautiful ceramic tableware and elegant presentation made the experience even more special. Thank you very much for this unforgettable and authentically Japanese evening.
